  • If the first code will not reply or not dial, try the second code *120*69277#. Make sure to read the instructions on your phone’s screen.
Important Note

When using these USSD codes, you must provide your South African identity number. These codes are free to use, and the service provider does not charge you to check the balance. Upon dialing the USSD code, you are supposed to get an SMS reminder of your available SASSA SRD Grant balance.

SASSA Grant Receive

Here’s how you can receive your SASSA SRD grant payment based on the method you chose:

Step 1: Bank Account Payment

  • If you opt for payment through a bank account, SASSA will send an SMS to your provided phone number.
  • This SMS will alert you when the grant is deposited into your bank account.

Step 2: Retail Store Collection

  • If you use the post office method, you can no longer collect your SRD R350 grant at the post office.
